Oft found fluttering about her quaint tea parlor, Tanelwyn lithe frame casts a long shadow, though perhaps not so grand in comparison to other mer.More striking perhaps are her vivid amber eyes and stark white hair, that when taken together, cast an unmistakable figure against the hazy glow of firelight that seeps throughout. In fact, some patrons swear that it is the she-elf herself from whom that veritable hum of heat emanates. A testament perhaps to the hospitality on offer, for what darker intention might lurk about a tidy, coastal shoppe?

Always prepared to offer a polite nod, if not a breezy smile, Tanelwyn is by contrast guarded in any endeavors concerning a lose lipped patron and their attempts to needle her into unraveling the frayed threads of her past. Though, for those who seek to build rapport by way of consistency in coin and company, suffice to say that a well meaning smile, and sumptuous order of pastries will glean but light details.

Such are the abbreviated rambling of the fair Lady Tanelwyn on the happenings of her past:Born in Summerset high society, and duly married as duty and custom dictated.The efforts to find a prosperous match took but a handful of years. Twas in reality a short venture, considering the long hours spent between her mother and grandmother, until at last a suitable candidate was found.Her courtship lasted a respectful ten years, and several years later, they welcomed a son.Then one might feel as if a cool breeze were to rattle through the tea shop, snuffing out the little collections of candles dotted through the parlor. After a lingering and heavy silence, the Tanelwyn would recount the fate of her absent husband and son, who perished at the hands of Pact skirmishers. Yet more lives lost to the endless toiling of the Three Banners War, lives gladly given in service to her esteemed Majesty, the Queen.

The sea is an unforgiving place, or at least that is what Ceris was told, time and time again, when her father returned from weeks on the water. After years of the sentiment, it is now not so hard for Ceris to disregard it completely. To her, that consistency, the promise of the water's shifts and churns makes a kind of sense that the rest of Tamriel does not.Born of an affair between a fisherman and a Stonelore druid, Ceris has always walked between two worlds. It was not always so easy for her to trudge through the prejudices and opinions of those who did not fully understand her family unit. Ceris always tried her best to ignore the words of others, though, it was not always so easy in Breton society so full of rank and conscious of how they are perceived.Despite all, Ceris did her best to learn what she could from her parents. It is because of this that she hold a deep reverence for islands that she calls home.
